Does anybody know how the gopher manages to read your mind? I find this mildly upsetting.

If you carry out the formula for 2 digit numbers you always get the 'same' result. So for example:
Numbers between 10 and 19 the answer is always 9
Numbers between 20 and 29, it's always 18
And for numbers between 30 and 39, it's always 27.
Now, If you look at the symbols they are actually repeated for certain numbers, guess which?
I did it 3 times and wondered why the symbols changed each time.
