Name dropping

I'm going to compound my neglect of blogging with this post. Which has no other purpose than to say that I know someone who has read Das Capital (abridged, but hey!), Mao's Little Red Book, Che's Diaries and Qaddafi's Green Book. Not content with that, he is now reading Ruhnama, or the "Book of the Spirit", dedicated to "Allah, the most Exalted TURKMEN", by the erstwhile Turkmenbashi the Great, Saparmurat Niyazov. [Yes, the man whose gold-leaf covered statue rotates to face the sun and who renamed the month of January after himself (only in Turkmenistan, thankfully, because we wouldn't know how to pronounce it, would we?). ]

But to return to the premise of this post, which was a boast. Yes, I know this very personable and knowledgeable man who has nevertheless passed hours of his time reading some of the most irrelevant literature ever written - and he has survived, as far as I can tell, undamaged. Read about it.

NoolaBeulah I think Nazim will be dead pleased with that. He absolutely adores being praised - who could have thought eh!

THis should not be a surprise given that: a) I had to read abridged Das Capital at Soviet school to make notes - it is a very boring book. No excitement can come with it, b) Che;s diaries were a gift from a impressionate young lady who liked him, c) Mao's book was given to me by CHinese delegation in 93. Now Qaddafi and Turkmenbashi's was out of my own volition. Qaddafi's book is quite short and easy to read. Turkmenbashy on the other hand written 2! volumes.

About time spend - well you knows I like to spend time doing most stupid things. My mother just promised to burn Ruhhama if he ever sees me with it again distracting me from my exam studies.

So compulsion, sex and good manners explain three of them. The other two? That's character, a mystery no-one can plummet.

Your mother is quite right, but what are you studying for?

How about you my good man? I note you and Nazim have stopped blogging on the same day of the same month of the same year!

Am not trying to imply something sinister, just stating rational enlightened evidence-supported FACTS.

Find it in your generous heart to forgive. It must be age. I get to the evening and when I test for any reaction to the world and its ways, I find nothing there. Work, family, and an accumulation of minor annoyances might also be to blame.

[It may also be that Nazim and I have decided to sit back and feed vampirically off your youthful energies, just as males have always done. You know, the usual exploitation of the female, sanctioned by tradition, refined by custom. Or maybe not.]

Oh yes, second option, no doubt in my mind there. Whole world is using me, I can feel my energy being sucked away by a huge and invisible vaccum.

Stop being daft both of you and watch a horror moview or two. I am going to watch Saw 2 to relax. Life is hard as it is and I do nothing but work

Oh No! After all the dictatorship stuff he's been stuffing his brains with, now he turns to horror movies!!!!

Saw 2 is absolutely awful. I refused to watch it but couldn't contain my curiosity and proceeded to ask friends who saw it about the scary bit in it. From what I heard, it is theoretically unwatchable.

Nazim, I worry that you might get damaged mate. Take it easy lad will ya! Or get married and become a father, like our good friend Noolabeulah. That'll drain your energies in much more fruitful and benign ways.

Ruhnama and Saw 2. It's easy to see the direction this is going in. It may already be too late. Any volunteers for an emergency mission to Azerbaijan?
