And on this hill ...

This hill is significant. First, it is artificial. Second, it was built on the Sardinian property of, and was ordered by, a Mr Berlusconi. Third, the construction workers were guarded by the army. Fourth, it (probably) joins the vast ranks that stand under the banner of 'l'edilizia abusiva' (illegal building). I say 'probably' because La Repubblica, where I found the image, didn't want to commit itself. Unfortunately, the photo seems to have disappeared now. Anyway, I can't find it. By the way, there's a dinky little park bench (see arrow) up among those trees for you to sit on and enjoy the view, which is evidently quite something.

I'd never heard of an illegal hill before, but this man didn't become one of the richest in Europe for no reason.
